SIMS 3 ISN'T WORKING RIGHT DX

for some reason, once i installed world adventures, i've been having some serious slowdown problems with this thing... i put all the graphic stuff as low as it'll go, but it STILL insists at running at a snails pace...

this wouldn't be such an isuue if it wasn't for the fact that this and the base game HAVE THE EXACT SAME SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS DX

dammit, this is prolly the closest i will ever get to going to france and now it won't run DX damn EA Games!

ah.. at least i still got all my sims 2 games (which truth be told, i kinda like better, anyway...), but god, i spent $50 altogether on the game AND a guide DX
i knew i should have just left the sims 2 stuff installed just in case, so i wouldn't have to go thru all this bother... at least i was smart enough to leave the sim data in place XD

argh... anyway, if anyone else has sims 3 and also has this problem, please tell me what to do... this is irritating...

EDIT: well, this just got worse... i just found out that (in what can only be described as sheer stupidity) i deleted all the save files from sims 2... ARGH DX sure, the system restore somehow put all the uninstalled programs back on the comp, but DIDN'T restore the saved files i got rid of at the same time i uninstalled the stuff... dammit! i really liked the sims i made too...

...nobody had better decide to be a smartass and ask 'if you liked them so damn much, why'd you get rid of em?' cuz i am SOOOOOO not in the mood...
